The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at 30 areas linked to former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik in a probe linked to alleged corruption within the awarding of a contract for a hydel venture within the Union territory.
In response to the probe company’s case, a bribe of Rs 300 crores was paid for 2 hydel initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir.
CBI had registered a case in April 2022 in opposition to 5 people, together with Mr Malik, in reference to alleged irregularities in awarding contracts value Rs 2200 crores for the talked about initiatives.
Responding to the allegations, Satya Pal Malik, who has been admitted to the hospital for the previous few days, acknowledged, “Regardless of my sickness, my residence is being raided by authoritarian forces. My driver and assistant are being needlessly harassed by means of these searches.”

“I’m not afraid of those raids; I stand with the farmers. These actions will not deter me,” he added.
